Exploring
the Mekong
Delta is always the wonderful trip to anyone who loves the countryside
and peaceful life. Through the places such as Long Xuyen, Chau Doc, Ha Tien
and Can
Tho, you will be attracted by the landscapes that expressed by the rich
lands with the rice fields, the orchard gardens and the rivers full of fishes and
shrimps. Beside the local culture expressed by the simple and kindly people
will make you to be closed with the countryside in the calmest moments.
Day 1: Sai Gon – Vinh Long – Long Xuyen
Pick
up you at your hotel in Sai Gon and transfer to Vinh Long that is far
from Sai Gon more than 100km. From here you visit the flower garden in Sa
Dec. This is one of the famous flower gardens in the Mekong Delta.
Continue the trip to Long Xuyen that is the city of An Giang Province. The
city is far from Vinh Long more than 60km. Arrive in Long Xuyen you have a boat
trip to visit floating market here. Overnight in Long Xuyen.
Day 2: Long Xuyen – Chau Doc
Have
your breakfast in the hotel and then transfer to Chau Doc which is the town of
An Giang province. Chau Doc is far from Long Xuyen about 55km. The town has
some famous destinations such as Tan Chau Silk Village of Cham
People, Ba Chua Xu Temple that located in Sam Mountain. After visiting
those places, it is the time for your individual. Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 3: Chau Doc – Ha Tien
After
the breakfast in the hotel, you transfer from Chau Doc to Ha Tien that is the
famous town of Kien Giang province. Ha Tien is far from Chau Doc more than
100km. The town has its symbol named Phu Tu Island which is the stone island
not far from the land. And you visit Mui Nai Beach where you can swim and
know more about the special beach of Ha Tien. Then the trip leads you to visit Mac
Cuu Tomb which is well known destination. It has the historical meaning
related to the Family played the very important role in the founding and the
building of the town. Overnight in Ha Tien.
Day 4: Ha Tien – Can Tho
Enjoy
your breakfast in the hotel and then transfer from Ha Tien to Can Tho which is
the city far from Ha Tien about 200km. Can Tho is one of the most important
city in Mekong Delta. It is called the capital of the Southwest of Vietnam.
On the road, you have a stop to visit Bang Lang stork garden. Continue to
Can Tho. Time for your individual. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 5: Can Tho – Floating Market – Sai Gon
In
the early morning, you transfer to Ninh Kieu wharf and take a boat trip
to visit Cai Rang floating market. This is one of the typical floating
markets in the Mekong Delta. You have chance to know more about the commercial
life of the people here. You turn back to the land and have breakfast before
coming back to Sai Gon. End the trip.
